It doesnt really make sense as to why they are enemies of the anti demon corps. Must be some ulterior motive that exists. Maybe this so called accident was a result of testing that the anti demon corps had messed up trying to make stronger soldiers thus turning these women into mutants or something of that nature. It would also tie in as to why they would target that research facility in order to stop others from becoming like them.
