@Vasqueztion I said it before in the main comment section so here it is again:

We as humans give arbitrarily names to other species based on some common characteristics. This mostly works because humans are the only species that can think and give names to other animals and stuff.
The tricky part is naming other sentient beings. So humans call pointy eared people elfs, but do elfs call themselves elfs? Do they call themselves fairies? In the end it's all names us humans give to them and force upon them. Lefay may fit into any of the names we give to her, but she herself may have a different name for her own race, just like elfs call humans "monkey people".

She just doesn't mind being called elf or fairy or whatever, but her actual race might as well be something completely different from what we think.

Wonder when the magic starts; clearly something supernatural is pulling people in...

Atomos is a metoikos of Athens, it means he or his family weren't citizens, just lived in Athens. So in the time of Atomos, Athens was still a city state, so it must be before 339BC when Philipos of Macedonia conquered Athens
Musaka was a meat pie with various vegetables in, mainly eggpplants (no potatoes in ancient Greece- Europe). The besamel on top was the result of the first Greek chef, who studied in France, to make Greek dishes more "European". His cookbook was published in 1930

Oh so time isn't linear in travelling to this isekai world?
That's an interesting concept

So, the people that happens to fall in this world are from different time periods of the Earth, Sanburou being contemporaries to us, lefay is from a era that earth had elfs and this new guy from the hellenic period

So there you have it folks...they are being pulled from different eras. Le Fay is from Avalon (Britton), a fairie from a time long enough that their existence became legends. Plus we had WW2 dude, guy with TLOTR book, and someone from Athens.

This reminds me of very early Doctor Who, when the show was geared more towards being a historical/educational adventure show for young boys.

I'm digging the hell out of this!

this manga continues to impress with how it plays around with the basic concept of isekai shit, although the bar is so low atm that i might be praising it a bit too much

Atomos mist be thinking of the time where cooking improvements were huge in his time. Thus it led people to overeat and stuff themseoves with food. Leading to glutony. Creating q pleasure demon. They even had a special made feather to tickle their throats to induce vomit and empty their stomach. Wash it with wine or alcohol and keep eating. Thus beer was seen as a seen by many

@saph nah, for a seemingly casual isekai manga at first this one really did do things way better

@Piraveen Considering his stance on the rejection of the pleasures of the flesh, his reference and reverence towards a savior (alternatively, messiah), and his aversion to daemons, I'm more inclined to think he was a Christian, perhaps from a community that was converted not long after Jesus died.

He is a Metoikosz though, which dates him to before Christ, so I don't know. Could be lack of research on the author's part, could be an intentional anachronism, or I could just be wrong.

Yes, that is exactly the same thing said when she deflected the question.
Still doesn't answer the question.

What she is or calls herself, her people, or others is moot. Ultimately, the question is, did Leafy reincarnate into her current form with her memories or did a cryptid transmigrate? Hell, we just found out that time is convoluted, she could very well be human from a different time- past, present, or future.

How interesting that theres a lot of isekai people there but none are from same place or timeline. Perhaps theyre not from same earth too

@Vasqueztion There is no point in asking that question now, she says mythical beings exist on Earth, how they got transported into this world is the main mystery, and I assume the exact same way Saburou got transported here too.

Have patience and wait for more chapters.

The story is going into real weird and convoluted territory. I hope the author can keep up with the story and lore he's building, because this is going to take some intricate skills to pull off.
