MD loads terribly slow if at all

Hello,

this is now the xth day this week with MD loading terribly slow if at all (NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource/no picture symbol) between 19:00 and 21:00 CET. There is no problem with any other websites, thus the question if it could be a bug in MD or if it is because of DDoS/general traffic.

I'd say general traffic is up significantly. I think the mods said it was up 20% post-Mangarock-death? Couple that with Corona-chan and we have a likely culprit.

@justforthelulz They said they already upgraded their servers. Their hoster had problems in Europe

ive been having this problem only recently, for some reason my screen changed (has the side bar for options/bottom bar for pages/circle loading for images that werent there before) and now things are moving very slowly; when the mangarock apocalypse first happened i didnt have any problems (nor have i had many since the pandemic hit) but within the past week / week and a half things have slowed down significantly. tried changing image servers too but that didnt seem to help.

Looks like your settings got reset to default from legacy

Cog next to your user name - more settings - then thereare 2 settings you can set to legacy
Don't forget to save settings at the bottom of the page.

changed back but still having problems with slowness. might just be me but still a marked increase in image loading times, not sure what changed recently to make it that way.

Probably the increased traffic due to COVID19 and mangarock being shut down.

I'm having the exact same issue ever since it reset to default yesterday. The kicker though, is that it loads noticeably faster on default than on legacy.
