[MEGATHREAD] New Tags Suggestions

This thread is for suggesting and discussing new tags to be implemented on MangaDex.
Read the guidelines below then post your suggestion as a reply here.

All tags are subject to review by the mod team and are not guaranteed to be added.

Guidelines:​

1. The tag should represent a broad theme or concept that can apply to many different series. Avoid tags that are too niche or abstract. Providing examples is encouraged to clarify where it would be used.
2. Provide a clear explanation of the tag's purpose and what type of content it's meant to categorize. At the very least your suggestion should answer the question: What type of content is it meant to categorize?
3. Avoid suggesting tags that could closely overlap with existing ones. If unsure, check our Tags Definition for guidance, ask if you're still unsure.
4. Tags should primarily focus on describing the content itself, such as its themes, genres, or storytelling structure. Tags that focus on external conditions or processes will be rejected. Other types of tags may be accepted, provided they help users identify the reading structure or navigational format of the content.
5. All suggested tags must align with our site rules. Tags for content that violates these rules will not be accepted.

Important:​

Currently a rework is being done to handle "porn tags". This new system will allow us to categorize these tags to flag them appropriately and segregate them from the main list of tags. Suggestions for these tags will not be considered at this time.

On Hitomi.la and EHentai the name for those panelless comics with full color and detailed background is Artist CG, and the term for each piece of media of that type would be a CG set.

You know them, especially the Zurikishi ones. Or you might know 1:39, the message window comic. Lesser known is the original Sakusei Byoutou before the VN, Doujin, or any other adaptation came out.

This way, people can filter out the 1 page twitter brainrot, which people have complained about for eternity.

TLDR: A panelless (and usually) colored comic that isn't long strip with detailed BG is probably a CG set.

Sidenote: Now I think about it, many titles HeatManga has scanlated are CG sets.

YES SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME

Clearly the stupid Zurikishi comics or many titles scanlated by @HeatManga do not violate this rule.

I could be a masochist and upload the Chinese CG scanlations of Sakusei Kenkyuujo CGs to satisfy the scanlation rule since CG set is a format. There's like a few hundred pages per panel due to the fact it's variations of a panel with only text boxes changing.

Taken from EHWiki's definition of artist CG (in the Gallery Descriptions)
Artwork sets without panels, often made digitally. Typically in color and with more detailed backgrounds. Must depict a sequence of events (or be either a variant set or artbook) AND must be sold / distributed as a whole.
Obviously I removed the word "pornographic" from the beginning since I want a label to encompass CG sets in general.
This basically includes literally anything Zurikishi has made, the 1:39 comic, those 1 page twitter comics without panels, just all that panelless stuff where the only change between pages is just a character model being moved or text bubbles.

also this is a bit random but general loli tag or editing of the loli tag, so it dosnt have to be suggestive or higher rated for loli, beacuse sometimes i want wholesome loli things, and i cant find them 😔
[here is an example of the mc constantly being referred to as a loli and it having loli in the description, yet not tagged as such due to it not being suggestive+]

I have actually never seen a futa here on mangadex?
Maybe because I dont get recommended mangas in the pornography tag and futa probably is in there since theyd have to show girldick...

I have made a thread in which I shared a list of non-h futanari manga I and others have found, feel free to check it out. At this point in time the list is a bit outdated due to no longer being able to update it with new titles but there is an updated list on discord.

I like reading manga with a female lead but, due to there not being a FMC tag, I usually just stick with GLs since that's the only way I can guarantee a female lead

More detailed tagging hasn't been added yet to this website. You can use manga tracking websites like MangaUpdates which has a more detailed tagging by fans which can sometimes be a little inaccurate.

I second the need for a "Childcare" tag. Even the MCs reincarnated/isekaied in a novel's world often refers to the book genre as such. Yes, sometimes romance or other genres are mixed in, but if the MC main motivation is taking care of a kid and the main focus of the story, that should have its own tag. Instead, we have to search for combinations of "drama", "romance", "slice of life", "isekai", "reincarnation", "villainess", and sift throught the results.

I Became the Mother of the Evil Male Lead (Long Strip,Romance,Magic,Fantasy,Adaptation,Full Color)
Not-Sew-Wicked Stepmom (Reincarnation,Long Strip,Romance,Comedy,Isekai,Fantasy,Villainess,Web Comic,Adaptation,Full Color)
Living as the Villain's Stepmother (Long Strip,Romance,Fantasy,Adaptation)
How Could You Repay the Kindness I Raised You With Obsession? (Reincarnation,Long Strip,Romance,Magic,Isekai,Fantasy,Cooking,Adaptation,Full Color)

I could find a dozen more in the 700+ titles in my librairy, but since they're not tagged "Childcare", that would take too much time.

More detailed tagging hasn't been added yet to this website. You can use manga tracking websites like MangaUpdates which has a more detailed tagging by fans which can sometimes be a little inaccurate.

MU doesn't have a reliable sex specific tag for protagonists, that is NovelUpdates.
I don't myself think this is a necessary tag, but it would be useful.
Falls down to, is it worth the effort to add vs actual usability.
Also I can already foresee, how it would get misattributed to some series that "have" a FMC, but the FMC isn't necessarily the main FMC or MC (main MC is MMC) and so on. Eventually leading us back to square one, where we need further definition on MMC, FMC and Multiple MC tags and so on.

So ultimately, I guess no... huh, I argued myself against my initial stance...
