Good start and a hella big drop-off to boring generic gore fest.
Mc is 2d and other characters just lack any sort of interesting qualities.
Only thing that's kept me going is the reasons for why mc is the he is and why he was summoned multiple times.
All I feel from this manga is empathy for the tragic fates of some of the side characters.
If ur into a morally off compass mc with a twisted sense of living than by all means read this trash

Towards the beginning, before chapter 13, it was a great novel. It wasn't the most unique story, but the situation that the MC found himself in was interesting. When it comes to world building, we're limited on the info, and with the magic and power system, we're even more limited. Inori is supposedly stronger than the world's strongest human, incuding the "heroes." World Building: 6/10.

Now towards character development, we are not shown a lot of internal traits. Inori's character change seems extremely sudden after ch 13, too unnatural, considering that he never showed such a terrible physcopathic and illogical state of mind before. Some might argue that it's because of his power gain after dawn, but I think that it has to do with poor writing and rushed storytelling. Besides Inori, nobody else was ever focused on enough to be a candidate for character development. Character(s) Development/In General: 2/10 (mercy points).

Now onto the real story changer, the plot. As I've said before, this novel had great potential. There could've been awesome fights against heroes, monsters, and wars, there could've been secret missions and fiery rivalries, maybe even a small little romantic flair. But of course, at chapter 13, everything switches up. Somehow, ALL the royal knights are traitors, the heroes are beaten and imprisoned, the 2nd princess isnt killed by the 1st boss(worlds strongest human), and in the end, Inori clutches up and creates his first secondary vampire. It may sound cool, but after all the royal aspect of the story is destroyed, I can see no potential in the story. The power scale is terrible, as Inori kills the world's strongest human, then Inori calls himself the next demon king, but there is nowhere else to go.

When it comes to the romantic bit of the story, it's 2/10. It had potential with the second princess, but was forced. Along with that fairy near chapters 23-38 who was also forced and random. I have to rate this story's plot a solid and generous 3/10.

This novel was a waste of my time. I really liked it at first, but it was a dissapointment. I really hope that the webtoon adaptation doesn't follow what happens after ch 13, that would kill it.

Overall rating*: 3.6/10 or -----> 1.8/5

*Not including other factors like decent artwork, ok pacing, etc. To balance out the two bot 5 stars, I should've rated this a 1/5 which is still fair, but I feel generous.

good start hook at chap 1 but kinda go downhill from there i could've been better if he got expelled from being being from chap 2 then travel then save/change the fate of the other people who summon him but nah the multi summon thing got complete erase off and become edgy anti hero without purpose or meaning he just to whaever he wants pretty trash trope overall grabage manga no wonder this is not popular

Fundamentally the problem I have with the criticism so far is that,

It's not that the MC is shit, that's not the pure problem here. Tho he's an evil bastard and the setup is relatively light for it, it's relatively early and you could get away with it.

The problem is that there's nobody there to punch the MC for being shit. You can have an unlikeable and dogshit MC work if you have a character at the ready to sock them in the face for it and make them eat shit, and basically play a more classic story but from the other side. But there's nobody setup to do that, so it ends up being aimless for too many chapters.

The core reason it's not popular is because there just wasn't source iirc? Like, the WN didn't get farther than the manga last I checked. Maybe author thought they could switch? not sure.

What I don’t understand is how I feels like every thing is served to him on a silver platter.see now I don’t have a problem with a power fantasy manga/anime here and there but this feels like it try’s to justify his power gain but at the same time he pops up with abilities never before mentioned just for the convenience of his situation.what really doesn’t make sense to me is the second princess.they keep doing this thing were she gets flustered or seemingly jealous over MC even though he’s put her through terrible situations multiple times and the first time left her to die with no remorse once so ever.the only thing that makes it make sense is her having Stockholm syndrome(when people have feelings for their tormentors).it also feels like the MC personality just dose a 180 when ever.one second he’s some chill guy that keeps to himself next he’s a sadistic psychopath killing people for existing in his area not to mention torturing them to just because he can.now I don’t have a problem with a evil mc but he doesn’t feel consistent.

I enjoy a good power fantasy as much as the next weeb, but the lack of consistency with the MC is absurd. While never truly "caring" about the country or place he's in, which is fine, he's not shown to be an absolutely sociopath and then, all of a sudden through exposition, he's a sociopath. Then he's a gorey sociopath. It's like a Chinese rip-off of Solo Leveling (which I know and no the irony isn't lost on me), because while he becomes very "get the job done at any cost" and finding people expendable, he seeks out the opportunities to make them expendable, rather than being calculating and rational about it.

3/10. Art's not even that good.

Read this based on a recommendation from a comment on a Youtube short about another isekai manga called "I Got a New Skill Every Time I was Exiled, and After 100 Different Worlds, I was Unmatched".

It's a "darker take" the comment said. Pfft. Darker? Try dorkier.

This has absolutely nothing on that one. Goddammit, I wish I could take back the time I wasted.

I kinda liked the art (though the style did remind me of a hentai artist whose name escapes me at the moment), but it fell off pretty quickly by chapter 13. I kept going, hoping it would get better, but I only lasted up to 23.

Edginess without reason, even the flimsiest reason, is just plain boring.

This is the first manga I actually put in the "dropped" category. God I wish I stopped sooner.

feel like lot of people misunderstand what this novel is about and keep wishing for something its not. this is ted bundy in another world, this is the Japanese psycho with ultimate power. this is a world were everyone is self centered.

the characterization is subtle but is there, what starts off as a genetic fantasy kingdom is soon smash by a brutal reality, were we see religious fanatics, revolutionary insanity, bored gods, lustful fools, heroic idealists and those who would do anything to survive.

In chapter 45 is where we get a good summary of the main character. ''he likes to be perceived as the enemy.'' this is why he does all these crazy things, this is why he pushes people to breaking. for how the main character seemingly inconsistency well if you look at American psycho as a example, rarely are sociopath mask off when dealing with people.

This is literally "We have food at home" Eminence in the Shadows.

How does this have an 8+ rating?

Everything was good and fresh until chap 13. It's like another person wrote those chapters instead of the author. From promising manga to dropped instantly

Your 14 and you think this is cool.

But that is indeed a good summary of a person's self-insert 2d protagonist from Wattpad.
