Ehh, hard to recommend such a tedious manga/novel series. When it is good it's great, but the too frequent POV swapping to unlikeable characters, and the autistic description of minutiae make it a hard sell. Probably just typical of the genre but it's just poorly written and adapted. Cool premise followed by disappointing development. It's refreshing to see a gunfight in manga. If you want more of that, best one for it is Rebuild World. That protagonist also has no problems with killing.
Thanks for the scanlation!
i think it might be less of no hesitation and more of fear what might happen if he did let them survive overpowering that hesitationI find it weird how easily the MC kills people. Like, I get it in the space battles, that is abstracted, but here he is gunning people down face-to-face without even the slightest hesitation.
My guy, you were a Japanese office worker a month ago. Maybe games really do make you violent.

She is a dwarf so probably pretty easy to handleI wish I was strong enough to carry a person with one hand
Remember, he's a coward who would bring a full suit of power armor if ceiling weren't so low."I'm a coward".
Yes, you are goddamn right. I rather this than some half ass "nah, let's spare him because...."
Tbh I dont get why this world doesnt have weapons specifically designed to fight in delicate settings like this. Even our world have low penetration bullets and weapon platforms designed for use in nuke reactors and airplanes. In the novel, he explains that he needs to time and use precision for the damage he's done - from the explosions - to not accidentally bring down the whole colony.
I think its the risk that make it hard, one wrong move and you can kill all colony.Tbh I dont get why this world doesnt have weapons specifically designed to fight in delicate settings like this. ...unless personal armor/force fields are common enough to render such low power weapons entirely useless.

I haven't read the WN, but in the LN, Hiro actually spends a bit of time talking about the relative morality of his situations, especially when it comes to dealing with pirates, slavers, and other human traffickers. Conversations like in the previous chapter where he calls out the Dwarven manufacturing company for being too risk-averse to try to save its employee are more common.
He has very little illusion as to what would happen to Wiska if she were abandoned and holds those who kidnapped her as responsible for attempting that.
The same kind of thing happens when he comes face-to-face with slavers. The important thing is to save what of their hostages can be saved and then, and only then, consider the fates of the already criminal.
