Again, I disagree. Her dad sees it as a regular scary ghost. But Miko sees the scythe. It means she sees its real nature as a shinigami. Her dad can't see that but she can.

There's no indication anything like a "shinigami" really exists, they just called it as such to highlight how dangerous it is. It's even unknow if these entities are ghosts or something else. So far we only know they can't be seen by regular people, can go through matter and become agressive when a human seemingly interacts with them. With the exception of the father (so far) every single one behaves strangely, to say it lightly. They're basically an unknown.

I was incredibly busy with real life stuff and general health for a while there, but I was working on the chapter when I could (which admittedly was not a lot). Since I think I've grown too busy to keep doing entire chapters on my own, I was going to make a statement after this chapter, stating that I'd like to either recruit people for a group or hand the project off.

When HttpsSick translated the chapter, I offered to proofread and translate SFX, but after they uploaded it like this I got a few dms asking me to come back to the series myself, so I was just gonna lock in for a day or two and try to get my translation out.
But if @ocvampirecreeg wants to take over translating, I'd be more than fine with that! Their translation looks really good and again, I'd been planning to hand the project off for a while anyways.
And I don't see a reason to upload a third version of the chapter, so I'll keep my version to myself haha


But since that means I won't get to make a public statement, I'll just say here that I've had a good time translating the few chapters I did! But like, I started translating when I was still in school of sorts? And now I work fulltime, got a bunch of new hobbies, hang out with my friends more and started seeing someone. So I think I'm moving on from this, even if it's been fun! Thank you guys for reading my chapters and good luck to the new team!! <33

Page 5 has "Since I had 2 years old" so it could be any of several languages but what MTL can't properly translate that...?

In fact, this thing operates in a pretty different way than ghosts. Ghosts only become violent if they notice that someone can see them. This thing, on the other hand, would try to kill you even if there is no indication that you can see it. And unlike most ghosts who can only haunt you or curse you, this thing can actually kill you. Again, Miko would have died if Michiru didn't save her, and Michiru ended up in pretty bad shape after that.

Maybe to the father he is still the same old dog, but to miko he already transform into something like a guardian dog.

I don't think François's a just a dog spirit anymore though considered he spoke and has human ears, but it's possible that Miko father's eyes can't perceive it all and saw only some part of him so he looks just like a dog.

Again only conjecture. We don't know how or why her dad died yet.

We also don't know the extent of the other entities abilities or actions. Just because most seem to wander harmlessly does not mean this thing is unique in harming humans as the default. In fact we've seen some who casually cause illness unprovoked and the shrine god seeks out sacrifices (it also can physically affect humans, just like your reaper). It might very well be that what this thing does is just a question of how powerful and overly malicious an entity is.

Man, maybe I just have Dao of MTL or something but for me the translation isn't evne that bad? Like merely rough in some edges but readable in broadway? Am I hallucinating or is it really that bad?

Oh, thank you so much! That makes me so happy. It actually greatly annoyed me that a series as good as this got such a TERRIBLE, low effort, seemingly MTL... I couldn't even read past the first few pages. I would be so happy if you took over.

hmm, there are a lot of things should be discuss but it's also refreshing to see a highschool friend/ship in this horror manga. definitely buy the physical copy after this to appreciate the author, thank you translator and team and everyone to allow me to encounter this manga
