I hope You is prepared for when after the festival Michiru returns home pregnant. This extra chapter has once again reminded me how that ride to the festival may have been one of the best days in Michiru's life and how in an act of chivalry she defended her future room mate's honor when the reason for their post subway detour was brought up.

I think the odds are really in her favor too, we know Miko thinks Michiru is hot (her reaction to being able to see her face for the first time was so good lol), and really cares about her (she was willing to risk facing that axe monster to protect her). And they got a special solidarity going with the supernatural element and their shared experiences. Hana meets 2/3 criteria as well but despite plenty of yuribait between them I don't think Miko ever thought about how hot Hana is, unlike Michiru.

Also live action adaptations can be really great, y'all. The live action versions of "She Loves to Cook and She Loves To Eat" was fantastic for example, and the event live action version of "Ayako Is In Love With Hiroko" was even better, probably my single favorite adaptation of a manga. Mieruko-chan imo just did not work as an anime, just like most horror (although the studio picked to adapt it certainly didn't help, Passione was such a terrible choice). Horror anime is an infamously fraught genre, especially anything that really needs the visuals to hit perfectly like Mieruko-chan does. A live action version might still suck, of course, but if they put the proper work into the effects, particularly if they make them at least partially practical, then it's got odds of being way better than the anime imo.

I don't think so. Yes, Miko found Michiru attractive at first, but in the other chapters, she stopped feeling that way. And even if she protected Ichijou, she would do the same for her other friends, just like she always does for Hana.

Just as I have seen zero reason to expect this to turn into an action manga with Miko exorcising powerful spirits left and right with a catchphrase, I've seen zero reason to expect any sort of yuri plot to develop.
