@Raguel I don't think they meant the shading. The first time the woman appears in the chapter, her pants are longer looking and baggy, vs not actually full length and really tight fitting for the rest of the chapter. I'm putting that down as artist error though, or they would've probably put the "original" woman in view again. Either way, the "second" woman is still just standing there like a human with the less sneaky spirit while the kid one is trying to attack. If they were all a set, I figure the other two thirds of the thing wouldn't have just stood around with their thumbs up their ass while the attacker was getting taken out. They'd at least flee if not help it, and the shrine foxes probably would've shown some interest in them. I'd say sneaky ghost was just tagging along with that woman. Maybe the obvious ghost was even trying to warn her about it because it's a violent one (their appearances aren't always a good way to tell whether they're "good" or "bad" and all).

Personally, I suspect the God and his Miko are just protecting her in return for her donation to the prayer box, and once they're done Mieruko isn't in any danger, she just needs to return to the shrine and give more money for their continued protection. Also, here's hoping she really does run in to axe man again and enlist his aid, I wanna see him rumble with all those cat monsters.

@Apav they may not be able to do anything physically to her, but doesn't mean they cannot harm her.
Remember, ghosts are draining her friend's life force just by being near her, what could they do to someone they know can see them?

@parodyres: My money is on, that they are alone, want to be/yearn to be acknowledged and are envious. Why do they have to suffer? Can they somehow switch places? They lose themselves. Those feelings are meant for the living and are a bad influence, then confused minds, that slowly melt/rot away. And then, when something triggers one of those emotions, after a long time, and nobody is really home anymore, for example by being acknowledged, the whole avalanche breaks lose and those things want to... they want...they don't even know what they really want to do, but do it with all might, ................want to consume her. Because: Life!

The point was i want *more*. More story and progress! Next, when I say "like her", I meant that they see the same things at the same level because I want them to HELP! If you've "been reading" (lmao) they were both more or less useless. Well meaning but useless.

We're not sure if the girl can even really see or feel the presence of anything. The grandma retired because MC's problems were out of her league. Last I checked the grandma was already out of the story. Is that supposed to help!? Is that supposed to add anything to the story?

Sure I'd love an accurate spoiler because from my perspective, we haven't moved forward at all.

As a compromise... if we're gonna sit at the same spot storywise, I want to know more about the tattooed guy and the cats.
