Yes, I agree that the cat's life is worth more than that trash, but that wasn't a situation where we had to choose one to save. It was just homicide.
That is such a common mentality online and yet, if you ask those ppl what they think of death penalty, most would trail off or make up some nonsensical line of thought to say it's "different" instead of answering...

Tbh with how "don't judge a book by its cover" this manga has been, I suspect Zen scared the guy so badly that he fled the country rather than what it looks like
