My theory is that The first time Hana and Miko went to the shrine, the foxes accepted the offering mainly because of Hanas strong energy and they offered 3 protections but wanted a price/offering after the 3 protections which was Hana herself, So when Miko went back the Shrine wasn't there, I also think it didn't spawn because Hana wasn't with her at that moment and when Miko tried to offer the foxes food? They were pissed because it wasn't Hana she was offering.

Also I think they came this chapter to probably demand she bring Hana back to the shrine and I think the Foxes detected that their price was being possessed and in trouble so they came to eliminate the ghoul and ensure Hana is brought to them in 1 piece
