Rather than hole, I think it's rather a literal vaccum for Aizawa, after her first possession we have seen more than once that she was getting literally sucked in into Kasumi without her own consent. With the joke drawning it seems they are more curious at the first and don't feel the "pull" as Aizawa do.

With Mizu and Honda being gay together this chapter, I cannot help but feel that my insane crackpot theory that Michi and Mizu are the same person is atleast 50% more likely.

Thank you for the TL!

Is that a "crackpot" theory? It seems extremely likely to me and has been for a long time:
a) They're always hiding Mizu's face, meaning there's a reason to hide it, so it must be someone we know (otherwise, why bother?)
b) That one Delphi girl knows Michi enough to call out to her in the school festival (why would she?)
c) Michi had a bunch of weird stuff happen when she met face-to-face with Delphi girl (repressed memory trigger and such)
d) Aizawa is extremely close+gay with Michi more or less from the beginning and we see Aizawa+Mizu being like that when she was alive, in this chapter's flashback
e) Kasumi mentioned that Aizawa+MIchi were close friends in school and even showed her a picture of them together (though we see Michi's face blurred, due to repressed memories and such)
f) Masaki and Mizu both being finalists who failed the audition at the end (or maybe Mizu gave up, who knows?) is no issue, cause Masaki just calls her "that one girl who she was sure was gonna make it", so it's already established she doesn't even know her name and it'd be fine for her to not recognize Mizu/Michi (who looks very different now as well, with shorter+darker hair). And, obviously, Honda, who didn't make it to the finals would be even less likely to recognize her

Like, if Michi isn't Mizu I'll be very surprised.

EDIT: went back to chapter 16 and Non (the Delphi girl) literally tells Michi she's Aizawa's friend and says "you're just gonna pretend like you forgot!?" while showing her the picture of her+Aizawa, so, yeah, it's basically confirmed

It very much feels like that's where all the flags are leading. Which of course just raises the question of "what in the ever loving yuri gods happened to Michi"

I don't believe her "Past Ghost Incident" that has lead her to ignoring Aizawa this whole time has been explained, so I wonder if the fallout of that incident went on to causing whatever incident pushed her out of the finals for Delphi.

Maybe she "tried to do the thing one more time" hoping it wouldn't go badly again, and it backfired so badly that she's repressed the entire period of time from her memory, causing her to forget she was Mizu, forget her relationship with Aizawa, forget Masaki, and be operating at the social capacity she had at the start of the series. And it lead to whatever ghost/spirit/thingy is haunting and killing off Delphi members, and that requires her confronting her repressed memories as well as Aizawa and her fear of her own ghost-seeing powers in order to save the remaining members.

Also and unrelated but I worry about Aizawa eventually having to potentially Pass On, and if Michi regains her memories and can have a relationship with her (insofar as that's possible, but at least emotionally), how devastating it'll be when she loses Aizawa to wherever ghosts go from this world. But that's me not wanting Doomed Yuri to be the ending here, mostly.

If this ever gets a manga adaptation, it might cross over pretty well! Animated characters (with distinct voices/colors) are much easier to tell apart, and it’s much easier to binge an anime season, too
I don't know if you can edit your post anymore, but you might want to (if you can) and change that to "anime" instead of "manga"
Because a manga adaptation of a manga is pretty silly.

In the earlier chapters it was heavily implied Michi saw Aizawa die in the summer festival she forgot about (that Kasumi and Sayaka also went to, they talk about it in chapter 12), so that's likely what caused her memories related to Aizawa to be repressed. The past ghost incident is probably related to that as well. Maybe Aizawa's ghost immediately talked to her and she talked back and got a bunch of bad ghosts around to focus on her (hell, maybe that's why Aizawa doesn't to try to talk to her now!). Idk about the Delphi part though.

But there's no "forgetting Masaki" cause, like I said before, Masaki doesn't even know Mizu's name. She just saw her from behind getting along with Aizawa at the contest and thought she'd be a girl that would get in for sure. They didn't know each other.

Finally, don't you ever mention the possibility of a sad ending to me, how dare you. She's gonna get a ghost girlfriend and be happy with her and I don't wanna hear otherwise!

oohhh I just misread the Masaki thing, thought they had bumped into one another, but forgot that "Mizu" also looked different beyond not technically meeting her so that's a moot point.

I had forgotten about the Summer Festival incident; I'll need to go back and re-read some chapters because I know it gets rather dense with the subtle details and timeline of things.

And no yes, you're absolutely correct, I myself refuse to believe something this precious will have anything that looks like that kind of Yuri.
Just because there's dead people doesn't mean they're not happy people.

She will just get to have ghost gex and it'll be a true spiritual experience.

Seta always appears every once in awhile but always manages to save the day with a few words, hes honestly a pretty interesting character (despite being irrelevant.)

Also Ange seemed to have longer hair before she hit big with De:LPhinus
I lowkey think Seta might be my favorite character of this title (he's not, by a stretch, but he tickles my fancy in very unexpected ways).

Mostly because he has no business being in this series, or at least he has no business being a "he" when his role in the manga could be done by another awesomely-designed female character.

But for whatever reason, the fact that a dude is randomly pressing the narrative forward (and not every time, just...sometimes) while otherwise just being a post against the wall when he's not needed for that singular job just has me in stitches.
It's nonsensical, and in that respect, it kinda perfectly works.

Damn, Kasumi ain't looking too good with that massive gaping hole bisecting part of her body
Sayaka must be the chillest person in the world. Girl see a massive tear bisecting her girlfriend's body. Has enough composure to get proper help and not panic. good on her
🤦‍♀️ she's too dumb to even think about the danger omg.
And I fell for it.. I thought her gap is showing and now the author is giving us yuri service. But ain't ! I was wrong . She's not just spouting flowery words.... SHE'S IN FACT SAYING IT LITERALLY

"She has a hole that only she can see? Did a ghost punch through her or something?"

"Heh. Things repeatedly going in and out of it. That's one way to say it lol"

"Alright, we're in her perspective. Now let's see what she's talking ab-AAAAAAAAAAAAA"

I'm going to have to re-read the whole manga once it's over. It's too hard to follow like this with the rate the chapters are dripping out at.
