Cute, but if they rented for 35 years then they'd be out all that money and not have a home. At least with the 35-year plan they'd have a home afterward.
@Shadowhawkstar I think it's more of a worldwide thing. Especially considering how education systems don't have basic financing as a mandatory requirement even (in Canada at least)

Again, that's if they choose something else. As Sumika pointed out that one was a stretch where they could easily fail to pay it and lose everything and have to go back to renting anyway.
