honestly if i was in then gen ed id be pissed about this too

the departments gets ignored and shafted and only now when its going to get shut down and they can move somewhere else easily does suddenly anyone care to give them attention

its like an abusive SO who suddenly realised how terrible theyd been only after you break up with them and begging for another chance because they can totally change

aside from romanctic prospects for the main two, the rest of the class has nothing to gain from this

This is frankly my issue with the current arc. It's frankly dirty how: a) they ignore the other students' agency, b) act selfishly, c) the plan is just flat out bad from a conceptual stand point. Because we frankly shouldn't be seeing the growth of the gen-eds... if the geniuses take charge of it all.

point c actually highlights a big hole in this arc.. Is it really gen-ed's own effort that they are now gonna be recognizable or they just follow the emperor and president's plan to be recognizable

i know the author most likely not touch this deep, but man that was a bit of a landmine to reveal the backstory of the department, maybe it would be better if they just said that they need to remove gen-ed to make room for more geniuses department or something

If it suceed then will it be the gen ed effort or just simply because of the geniuses leadership of the emperor ?
