Why tf do you hate this guy? He is just, a guy? It's so wrong to try and pursue someone you are interested in lol, also he doesn't know she already has someone she likes
I dislike him because he has continued to pursue her after she made it clear she is not interested and that's just creepy, frankly. Outside of that though, I just don't know what the author is doing or why his character is still being given more screentime than the supposed male lead. This story is not meant to be about him but it sure has been, meanwhile the actual male lead still doesn't even see her as a romantic interest thirty chapters in.

I think we all want our crush to include themselves when they ask who we like at some point in our lives, but let's be real: they'd only do that much if they were a narcissist, and we all know how annoying they can be, probably more so than those who are humble enough to not include themselves in a person's hit list. Heck, the moment they do put themselves in the equation, they'd be deemed as 'too full of themselves'.

If we had to pick between a humble person and an egocentric one, I'd say the majority would pick the former every time, regardless of appearance.

What’s up with the uterus question mark on pg. 13?
Only so many places for the tail of the speech bubble for the other party to point when Misato is in both the left and right panels and placing it too far down separates it from the dialogue it's responding to. The bigger question is why the page is paneled like that.

I know you tend to take your time probably when you're free... but thanks for translating
Thank you!
It is much appreciated!
Honestly, I should be apologizing, since I'm lagging behind the current release. These chapters have just too much freaking text.
I'm trying to pick up the pace, but it's going to take a bit before I can catch up to the current release, especially with my new job and all.
Nevertheless, I'll try to improve the release speed.

You can take as LONGG as you need as far as I'm concerned since you never dropped it. I have ZERO qualms about it and I am just as excited each time mangadex says there's an update :3

I think the author is using him as an excuse to show more ways Misato likes Konishikawa. I wish we just stuck to her imagination... like that one time she was trying to lose weight. She was like "oh wow Konishikawa in my head is even more supportive" or something like that. It was really funny & cute. Something the author could have ran with.

When manga portrays working on your day off as something admirable, you know Japanese work culture is fucked up.
Welcome to the life in a lot of "professional" positions in the US, too. And since you are an Exempt employee (either by title or earnings) you don't get paid overtime for it either. "You're getting paid to get the job done, not work 40 hours." (Retired Software Engineer in the field for 39 years.)

Basically the story is in the frustrating alley of non-creepy older male age gap romances: the older guy just can't see himself as a valid love interest for the younger woman. It's the dense MC problem, except here there's an understandable power dynamic and an unspoken tragedy. Our boy's given up on love, but his subordinate loves him. We're rooting for the two to get together.

This guy, by being a more 'age appropriate' male rival who is pushing towards the female lead and telling the male one to back off, is a force that keeps the story in the frustrating alley. He is the better option, as far as our boy is concerned. He's another reason for him to check out, to forget about romance, and to ignore the female lead's advances. She has a better suitor, after all. She shouldn't bother with an old guy like him.

So whenever he shows up and is like "hey, I'm like... handsome and cool and I like you, you know" it's annoying. We want him out of the god damn way already, every moment we spend on him is one we don't need and that isn't one we get with the two leads.
I'm pretty sure Shimizu has never once told Konishikawa to back off, in part because neither he nor Konishikawa have any idea that Misato is in love with him (Konishikawa) in the first place. Hell, Shimizu seems to have a deep respect for Konishikawa, and recognized his attempts to help him try and hook up with Misato (though he did get annoyed at how awkward said attempts were).
If anything, he's been telling Misato to back off from Konishikawa bc the optics on the situation were bad.
