Man, hearing about all the shit the Anime cut out because they wanted to stick closer to the novels... How much you wanna bet that one never gets a second season? Kinda hoping the anime will get rebooted under another staff and using the manga as the adaptation source instead.

BTW: @toruscans Any idea when we'll be seeing more? I know things can be tough, but it's been three months now. I really don't want to see someone take over scanslating this title and doing a craptastic so-bad-its-not-even-"so-bad-its-funny"-type-of-bad.
As someone who barely watches anime I gotta say it is one hell of an unbalanced industry. For example, a random mangaka can pop off with great epic art and paneling, but I ain't seeing any indie studio being able to do the same thing, with anime. It feels so money centric and not really relying on pure passion like a lone mangaka does. It just feels depressing knowing your fav manga is gonna be adapted by a studio with zero experience/super ass experience and you just know they are gonna shit on it to get the paycheck. Only ultra popular stuff and Shonen Jump series get to have the good studios for themselves, the rest is playing gacha. I also fucking hate the 11/12/13 episodes per season bullshit they use as well, intentionally hurting the story for dumbass reason.

Oh and the cheap ass CGI really needs to go, I would rather watch slideshow than the offensively bad CGI again.

As someone who has a liking for this manga I really hope the anime went forgotten for good. This doesn't need to have an anime that will do it justice, cause that ain't happening, cause ain't anyone love it enough to blow money onto it.

So frustrating to see updates in another language for an abandoned title.

The only way to get an update is to take the brazil version, translat that to English, upload it it, and hope the scan group feels snubbed enough to release the shit they’ve been sitting on for months

Frankly, the anime's fate is not unexpected--I could tell from the start that it was going to be garbage when I saw how they turned Sylphy into pedobait. They weren't interested in quality, there, just pandering--so the quality of the manga, patently well above that of the novels if the various reports are to be believed, would be ignored. So, if the anime dies in its first season, I say it's fine.

This sort of thing is part of why I don't watch anime these days: not that mangaka and LN/WN authors don't do this, but they're either afraid of "the wider audience" (in this case, women) or they're fixated on the tastes of "the wider audience" (in this case, usually effeminates and/or other degenerates--and the more corrupt, the better).

I also have to echo the second sentiment, @nerudo and @toruscans--what's going on with the manga? I'm really hoping to see you guys continue, as you've established your hands as the trustworthy ones to see this manga in.

It's been five months...

This definitely feels like a very bad novel that is elevated by the manga artist. The designs and slapstick make it entertaining, but the ever prevalent "X is strong because it has high stats that I can explicitly see" drivel drags it down. Very much the opposite of show don't tell.

Well, yes, they use now such niche non politically correct themes for their own agenda but at the beginning, and even now, they were part of the genuine otaku subculture. Is about 30 years that i read manga and watch anime, from the vhs and betamax times, so i'm pretty sure about this.

Later, when anime and manga became popular even in the west, the globalist spoil and use the otaku culture to promote their personal agenda and for personal propaganda. They sanitize in part the japanese entertainment and redirect the narrative to match the western moral and use the otaku subsulture to split futher the community and polarize opinions. This is what they mainly are using the japapense media for, propaganda and polarization.

Anyway, a lot of authors do not agree with this, so for the most cases only the adaptions were affected and "sanitized" or changed to match the global tend. Fortunately we still have a choice, so even if the anime is "globalized" there is the source material, and in this case, the very good manga adaption. (y)
Voilà, exactly. Only few people gets it. Nowadays, the way things are going, if you don't care just enough, they will take everything from you.

Dang. Rating for this here seems high given how mediocre the anime was.
Think of it like the opposite of blue exorcist. The manga is incredibly different from the anime and novel as the manga artist is putting the heavy lifting. Maybe if we’re lucky, but seeing how rare it occurs, if the manga lasts long enough and does well enough we could get a reboot of the anime based on the manga. It’s so far the only good thing that came out of this series, there’s even a huge fight between the angel and demon that gets added. Mangaka is putting in that work.
