This was a nothing burger, this whole chapter could have been written off as « it took us 3 days to reach the fort because off the snow ». It’s an adaptation, it’s not like author had to gain time cuz not enough content to adapt or sumn… I don’t get it
Thanks for the translation
Hot take: To be honest this was a nice chapter of world building which gave me Lord of the Rings vibes with how everyone was travelling and helping each other.
It only feels like a drag since we haven't seen a new chapter in a while.
In the Web and Light novels this was just an paragraph where Len described how tough his journey was but the Mangaka went out of his way to show just how big and beautiful the World is.
I like the chapter. Its grand scale and detailed background shows so much of this world. You feel the daunting danger in getting there, adding to the tension of reaching the people in time.
i do like this chapter. showing us to wanderr from a city to a castle far away is no easy job. it shows us how normal it is to walk so far. they are prepared for almost everything.
too bad the end of the chapter they must be too tired to fight the monster there.

Maybe I'm biased because I really like the visuals of this manga, especially the character designs, but even generally speaking I feel like this manga has above average graphics in the isekai category. There are some really lazy isekai around, of course, lowering the standards, so maybe being above average in such company doesn't sound like much. Nevertheless, since the author has decided to invest in the visuals, it also makes sense there would be a chapter like this that was about little but the visuals; there wasn't even much dialogue. Snowy mountain scenery and such. Like you said, the LOTR movies were quite a spectacle to look at as well.
This was a feast for the eyes. It gave me nostalgia for some of the Night's Watch stuff in A Song of Ice and Fire, going through the north. And no, the show didn't do it justice.
I am all too used to mangakas blurring backgrounds because they're too lazy to draw them, this is the opposite of that.
