Thanks for chap
Can someone explain what happened? From what I recall this was a feud between nobles and that guy plotted against the FL's father.
I have no clue who the new guy is and how he owes mc. Similarly why going to the imperial capital for a trial is doomed
The real goal is to obtain the mc but with making heroine's father imprisoned the viscount can robbed the heroine's family territory and help the faction that the viscount belong more stronger

Well this is just my guess maybe the butler's master owe mc because the mc killed the elf
We see there's a silhouette of a girl, maybe the silhouette girl cursed by the elf and with the elf die the curse is gone

This MC has so much plot armor and it's only been the 17th chapter
Plot armor or not, I'm relieved that the MC has someone helping him after the shit they just went through.
He's the mastermind behind the story after all, so he has to have all the plot armour in the world.
Thanks for chap

Ok this is actually a bit complicated to explain since it has something to do with how the original sequence of events played out and it was explained in the epilogue of Volume 1.

To understand what happened you have to first know how things went originally.
OG Len was an introvert who hated fighting and swords and would rather spend time indoors reading books.

Thief Wolfen comes and wrecks his father who eventually dies due to lack of treatment.

Len's family falls into deep poverty because of the lack of a breadwinner.

The viscount who has an idea of Len's lineage due to his position in the government thus giving him access to the royal registry only accesible by him, The Royal Family and Prime Minister sends Yerqu the Elf who was a midboss of the first game to Len's Village.

Yerqu the Elf attacks Len's village, murdering almost everyone and putting his mom in a coma.

Len was saved by Licia who was doing rounds around her family territory and adopts Len into her family.

Meanwhile, a Margarve has a very sick daughter who needs medicine that can only be made by a certain rare ingredient.

His daughter dies due to the Royal Family witholding it and this leads him to become the Main Antagonist of the First Game/First Timeline.

The Viscount meanwhile tries to politically corner the Baron and Licia but they were able to fight him off politically due to Licia being a Saintess.
Then this is how things went in this world so far
Reincarnated Len works hard on his swordsmanship to get stronger in order to protect his current family due to lacking parental love by his original family back in Japan.

His father gets attacked by the Thief Wolfen but Len takes over the duties of his father so preventing them from falling into poverty.

Thanks to his training and skill, he was able to kill the Thief Wolfen and retrieve the herb used to treat his father.

The Baron's knights saw all this and reported it their Lord and was overheard by Licia.

Len's family is rewarded with a tax break in exchange for the Thief Wolfen parts and Licia pays Len's village a visit much earlier than she did in the game/original timeline.

The Baron who knew of the Margarve's daughters sickness sends the him the rare ingredients needed for the medicine which was actually parts of a Thief Wolfen.

Baron does this in order to curry favor from the Margarve and hopefully back him politically against people like the Viscount.

Yerqu the elf attacks as usual but this time the villagers were saved due to the presence of Licia's knights who protected the villagers and Len's parents at the cost of their lives.

Yerqu kidnaps Len and Licia and was eventually killed by the two and they head towards Licia's hometown to support the Baron against the Viscount.

Thanks to the arrival of the Margarve's butler who is acting as the Margarve's representative the Viscount is defeated, driven out of his position and later on silently killed.

I don't care that your translations aren't as good as the other group. Your translations are good enough, and I'd rather have up to date translations than wait forever for horded chapters.

If anything, would you be able to translate other long abandoned manga? I literally have well over a hundred of those on my list.

Hahaha, at the end of the day it comes down to whoever has the strongest force (political, military, etc.) gets to swing their weight around. Both the viscount to the baron and the butler’s master to the viscount in turn.

Makes perfect sense for the setting and somewhat poetic.

Not going to lie, even with a couple rough spots here and there I'd much rather have yours than Animated Glitch Scans who let the series hang for months with no updates.

I just went and checked translated novel....
this mark the end of first arc, the second arc is also pretty tense.
and the time didn't progress much from this event either, so I expected a long story.
