The main's position is one reason I don't like most harem manga - unless all of the girls are ok with group action. Someone is going to end up getting hurt at the end. Its best to have a good one one one pairing like the three lucky guys featured this chapter.

These entire chapters dedicated to hookup institutions are super off-color. It feels like the author is already running out of ideas.

@mysko96 In what world could his decision possibly be selfish? Misguided, sure, but not selfish by any definition of the word as long as he has a libido (which he obviously does). I'll tell you why he's not fucking them, and this reasoning holds for pretty much every manga you'll ever read. Sexual activity does not make for interesting writing. It's something to get off to and be done with. Sexual tension and sexual tension alone is what makes stories good, and having a couple fuck significantly diminishes all the subsequent sexual tension. There are peripheral factors that can make it worth writing sexual activity into a story (like realism), but those don't matter for something that's purely fanservice.

@Drifter Why would a manga like this ever have to get serious at the end? Nothing about it so far has been realistic. There's no reason for it to betray the premise. I don't see why a chapter like this shouldn't just be a hentai one-shot or something. It has little to no relation to the story, even in terms of world-building. It's just 3 guys hoping to get lucky with anything that has a pulse, which they find, and then they're forgotten forever. It's just shallow bait with no payoff taking up a spot in the ~biannual release schedule of this manga.

Well, fortunately, it is played out relatively mute compared to most harem. While they all love the protagonist dearly, most have an outside goal pertaining to him.
Best examples are the mermaid, Meroune - who wants a dramatic/tragic romance, and the dullahan, Lala - who gets him after death.
Papi doesn't understand the concept, so I doubt she's much of a problem.
IIRC, Rachnera has already stated she's fine as a mistress. And Suu is Best Girl Suu.

Honestly it's only really Miia and Centorea that are the more prickly on the subject. But Centorea also has the ideology of being a knight first.

What I'm saying is, TLDR, is that it's probably going to be a generic ending where he chooses one, and the others all pour out of somewhere to contest. Cue comedic and open ending.
