Google translate is just terrible for translating from jp to en. I tried and the translation is just bad. Then i tried using Chat GPT the free version but it keeps returning that my prompt violates their usage policy somehow.

Luckly i have access to the paid version of Chat GPT and other LLM through other means and i use that to translate some ch of the WN and it's quite good.

That's likely cause the manga version skips a hell lot of context that fills in the details. There was supposed to be a whole chapter about the king's final moments from his POV, regretting his life's choices before he died.

Generally, as the literary complexity of the writing increases in Japanese, Google Translate gets worse.

However, Google also poked at the translate algorythm at some point last october and its been swallowing a dick salad parade since. so even authors i knew it was doing well with its been fucking up.

I wouldn't say it's well written but I also wouldn't say it's written by a 10 year old. To me it feels like the author is sick of the current tropes and everything having the same/similar story beats and wanted to do something different. Some stuff landed, some stuff did not. But I appreciate them trying something that feels fresh compared to most of these carbon copies.
