As a consolation, the sound effect on the bottom of page 3 is the sound of a neck being broken/crushed, the English equivalent SFX would probably be “CRACK”.

IMO, it’s more artistic this way cause depicting someone getting choked to death is hard and can be ugly, but I also see your point.

Serena’s status later is Evan’s fiance candidate (which practically means nothing since it’s not formal and there should also be other candidates).

Serena’s father leave the choice to her, but he seems to have preference to Tigur.
He’s expecting Tigur to show his talent and if he can do that, is fine with letting him inherit the duke’s house.
And seeing the Violet’s stance on staying neutral, they probably prefer not getting tied to the royal family.

But of course, since the choice is with Serena, it need her to first give a damn about romance.
