thanks for the scanlation.

looks like our cold-blooded killing machine of an fmc is now starting to develop what we now call "empathy"
not only that, prince evan is even dead set on the "i can fix her" route with her
the prince is the knight she killed (idk if she has click on it since he doesn't remember) but honestly, i do wish to see her be able to feel

Typical for any sorta manga adaption of a wn/ln series. They're less a translation and more an opportunity to redo the story Interested in how things diverge from here. Not that it'll stop people from trying to predict.
the web novel is on a hiatus right?

Given that she and Evan are reincarnated after killing each other it is fair to say that he will be with her.

So it is not like the story is just forcing this out of nowhere. And we are still going through our assassin learning about those emotions that her own mother wishes she has.

Also Tiger guy is literally from a tribe that was waring against the empire guys. So clearly he is forever cock blocked! Unless he takes down the whole empire to be with her that is :02:

The web novel is finished.
Maybe just stereotype, there are more female-readers web novel that can end relatively early. As opposed to the male-readers targeted web novels where if they got popular, the author seems to be clinging and trying to keep it going forever.

This reply explained the difference between each incarnation of the story.

Any spoilers at what happens with the mom and stepsister? Do either of them have a change of heart and regret everything they put Serena through? Does the father divorce and through out trash mom for essentially abandoning the daughter she gave birth to for someone else? Does the father regret neglecting Serena all this time and finally decides to spend more time with her?

This one is quite mild on the “serving the payback they deserve” element.
As mentioned in several other comments, the story is more about Serena’s growth into caring more about other people (and not necessarily in romantic sense). She doesn’t even care that much about her mother and stepsister’s doing, beyond it’s indirectly inconvenience her because it brings trouble to the family. Rosemary’s antics are nothing more than annoyance.
Hera’s almost killed her favorite toy Evan is the closest to “you crossed the line, now this is personal” for her.

If you want story focusing more on the revenge from this author, I would suggest Everything you shall get, I will throw into the trash. It doesn’t have the assassin/action element though, and instead a repeating life trope.
After her mother’s death, the MC’s father brought the wife of his late brother and their daughter. The MC was forced to give up her inheritance (the duke house is in her mother’s side), abandoned by her fiancee, losing her place in the society, even fall into scheme where she got kidnapped and raped, and ends up dead from torture after given away to marry a notoriously sadistic viscount.

She returned from death to before her father force her to give up her inheritance, and decide this time she will deny the people who had made her suffer from any happiness.
And the yandere prince who loves her killed a lot of those people who had wronged her.

Although I can’t remember well the details since my memory seems to be mixed up with Cinderella story, the other story from this author too.

But then again, don’t expect a “smart” writing. Those are usually the exception rather than norm.

I know the story is all about Serena growing to become more human, but Serena's mother and sister did take up a huge portion of the manga, so far. I was just wondering if the rest of the family tries to get more involved in Serena's life after neglecting her for so long.

Like, if Serena gets confused about people who were basically strangers to her, all of a sudden trying to be an actual family to her. Serena has never actually had an actual family life, so her family suddenly trying to connect to her after all these years, gives her all these feelings that she has never experienced and felt before. Potentially giving her the same growth that she has been experiencing with Evan and Tigur.

And thanks for the recommendations.
