This setup makes sense if you picture someone who already has main character syndrome and then stick them in an isekai.

So the question of whether it was our girl's blindness causing her to mix words in the Isekai language up because she couldn't see them or whether the Isekai people are speaking Japanese and just applying some nouns to different objects is settled. It's the latter. If they were speaking a different language, you couldn't have both the 'heroine' and our FL running across the same word mismatch, so they have to be speaking Japanese and the words are just applied differently.

I forgot about the "bow" thing. Calling a firearm a bow makes the fake author seem like an ijit (the actual author should prob be included here, too). A bow gets it's name from it's design; it's bowed. How would that naming sense apply to a straight piped weapon😑? What does this world call an actual bow? An arrow flinger😅?
