Eeeh....I think I can get my reincarnated villain fix elsewhere. This one is...weird.

Firstly, there's the obligatory but not surprising slavery issue. Like...the MC has shown absolutely no qualm with the idea of slavery. Not really a good start when it comes to replacing a narrative villain.

In fact, I suspect that this isn't going to be a subversion from villainy at all so much as a "what if the villain just won because he was smarter about it?" setup. They're making a moderate effort to show he'll have a better relationship with his slaves, but it's just been unapologetic sexual harassment so far and absolutely no remorse or efforts to make amends for past actions.

Third, maybe it just got lost in adaptation, but what the heck is up with him getting domination magic? Like, bro just opened a book and picked up an ancient magic that was forgotten because it was hard to use? That was such a leap that I felt like I skipped 3 pages of explanations.

I can't fathom the reasoning process of these main characters. You don't need to "defy" any fate are even battle the story's protagonist. Just do not act as a villain and train to avoid unexpected problems and everything will be okay. The protagonist "duels" him only because of his vile deeds so not doing them will not lead to duch a duel. Even if the "duel" happens it will only be at most like a normal duel or a friendly match as there would be no reason for the protagonist to harbor resentment towards the reincarnated Mc.

1. This was said to give context to the work. This is a manga about slaves and domination. It gives an insight into the author's mindset which is why he doesn't seem to understand what constitutes abuse and what doesn't. Like a weirdo.

2. The entire premise of the story is that the isekai'd MC is different than the villain. But, he's proven that he's really not or at least he's so socially stunted that he doesn't understand what he's doing to the victims of heavy abuse is really, really wrong. Either way, total creepoid.

3. He shouldn't have done it in the first place. That's sort of the point. This MC, and by extension the author, is creepy af.

4. You wrote "also since when did giving headpats become sexual harassment? lol" to which I responded to basically try doing this IRL (lap seat and head pat) and see what happens if you don't think this is sexual harassment. No strawman here. This is a direct response and completely within the framework of the conversation.

flavour of the month premise.
paint by numbers plot that was written to be as generic as possible.

it's pretty tiresome to see this kind of manga. it's drawn and written as if someone grabbed a fistful of similar manga and just wholesale coped chunks from each of em without making any of it worth reading.
