Completely forgot about that part from chapter 1. The choice should be pretty clear, assuming that the "disappears" part means she simply goes back to her home universe. Still wouldn't feel right if MC falls for her unless it's revealed that he was meant to die and never end up with the Sui in his world anyway.

Sure thing, and thus the author has a less decisive option of making some other meaning out of the same words.

The most grimdark choice would be, for instance, for “Sui Miyato disappears” to mean that the short-haired version is erased by some weird law of nature (if both version of the same girl cannot coexist for some quantum reasons undistinguishable from black magic) and for “Sui Miyato dies” to mean that the short-haired version decides to follow the Gasai Yuno's footsteps after all and murder her native self.

Though personally I believe that the author's choice may be fairly lighter than that one but still very interesting nevertheless.

Ehh, I do not like what the alternate version is doing. If an alternate version of myself were to arrive and potentially end up with someone I liked, I would not be happy about that. As other said, she is basically stealing the MC from the main love interest.



Uhh, are you sure you're not confusing this with "Osananajimi wo Erabenai!"? That's the manga where the MC has to choose one personality and the other one will die.

Right there in the first chapter. That was sticking in my brain the entire time I read the second chapter. Taking it at face value he could choose one and the author could still kill off both versions.
