Honestly, "This is our consensus" sounds better than "We all can't give our consent". That sentence just seems muddled, with that "all" put in. "This is our consensus" basically means "This is the decision we have come to"

@Talh 🤣

Ok getting it off my chest
The standard of 'the strong equals justice' is a destructive standard. It is tyrannical. Any society based on this will inevitably fall apart and or destroy itself. The only way it could have any real longevity is if there is some kind of divine intervention to ensure that only good leaders and the like gain enough strength to impose their own 'justice.'

That's of course ignoring the fact that in reality it's always easier to kill someone than to withstand their attacks. ie- assassination, poisoning, etc. But hey, this is shounen manga, where dramatic arc determines if an attack will be successful, I get that.

I get that he changing the timeline this time around, but where is the evil sage guy? It showed him when she was sworn in as hero, but it said they were childhood friends in the original timeline and that should still be the case.

@jak Maybe the MC just didn't make friends with him this time around? "Childhood Friends" don't have to all be friends with each-other so he could have just been friends with the MC and introduced to the hero girl via him in the "original" time-line, so he figured he'd snip it in the bud and keep distance? idk, just guessing..

@Goretantath

That sucks if true. I was hoping he'd fuck the guy up and they seem to have already gone past the point where the Sage kills him in the first timeline shown.

It's getting ridiculous as powerups happen offscreen. MC seems to get on the path of 'I'm the OP power in the world and girls fawn on me'.
What is the point of doing most of the things alone, only to meet up under-experienced Hero and under-leveled Mage he was supposed to take care of? To show up how cool and charming he is? He kind of abandon both of them doing his thing, without sharing much of his thoughts about why and what he tries to achieve. I see him as a rather selfish guy, who masks his power-hungry state with his overarching goal of help and protection of 2 girls. I think his initial goal of relieving Hero duty and stuff got derailed quite far, yet he still stubbornly repeat that to himself.

@jak @Goretantath
Yeah, he kind of disappeared without explanation. Completely forgotten.
I wonder what the MC goal is now. Being strongest, not just villager, but being in the world? I start to feel like Dragon King was right. He is screwing up the world just by his actions.

They haven't, though. She was already the dragon slayer when he drowned, if I remember correctly. In that timeline, it should be that she saved the village, grew stronger by a ton, and then killed the evil dragon. But this time around, her motivations for her explosive growth were diminished by the MC, so he had to go do that for her instead.
