Jesus. Took this long enough to actually start getting somewhere again. As much as I hated the party split up, it apparently was holding back any further major escalation. Only thing about this chapter that bothered me, was where the girl clinging to him the whole chapter came from; I either missed her in the background early on or she just appeared suddenly.

I don't mind spoilers, unlike other people, they make me more excited about what is going to happen. I begin to imagine the scenes and such, so they get me more hyped than not knowing anything about.

To be fair with Rudeus, she has change quite a lot for whatever reasonsince the "teleportation incident" maybe even her hair colour change and there is also the fact that they haven't seen each other in what 7? 8 years? A LOT of stuff has happen within that time frame, can anyone really say that there isn't a chance that he couldn't recognize her after so long?
Also, HE IS a dense motherfucker so yeah... there is that too. He seriously doesn't do any favours for himself does he?

He doesn't recognize her because:
1. He thought Fitt is male, given how everyone say so.
2. Sylphie's hair is white right now, instead of the old green hair.
3. His trauma from Eris still affect him even now

Eventually Rudeus start to show some more typical reactions (heart beat faster, no boner tho cuz ED) and wondered for a bit if maybe he's gay or maybe this is just BROSHIP.
Sylphie is the one who straight up come out to him eventually, with Ariel's permission to reveal herself to Rudeus.
Luke was a bit hesitant at first given that Rudeus is a Greyrat so there's a chance he might attempt to take over the Noctis house (he's Rudeus's cousin basically)
Though after Sylphie report back of Rudy's ED, it was Luke who gave her the 'secret medicine' that did the trick.
Nanahoshi is also here, and we'll learn she's a Japanese when Rudeus run into her.

That's like saying if I started cross dressing as a woman, dyed my hair, and wore some shades people who I spent many years with would all of a sudden forget my facial features and all other recognizable traits.
@Liquidxlax it's not easy to see in the mangas but it's explained in the ln, basically she now has white hair cause of mana overdrain when she had greenish hair in the past, in the ln she's also masking a bit her voice, and the the glasses aren't transparent so he couldn't see her face ... and she dress like a man, and he take her for one
