NGE is mainly held up by nostalgia accompanied by a grade A song, so it would make sense that This game, a grade A song with grade A visuals, would outperform it. Also, This game is far more exciting to listen to imo.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2 OP - Super Driver vs. Gintama': Enchousen OP3 - Sakura Mitsutsuki
Super Driver works pretty well for the fun SOL anime that Haruhi is, but Sakura Mitsutsuki feels way more emotional to me, which ultimately puts it on top. It's a perfect staple opening for any anime that includes epic fights and touching backstories, and it could also work for most kinds of battle shonens.

Amagi Brilliant Park OP - Extra Magic Hour vs. The Saga of Tanya the Evil OP - JINGO JUNGLE
Extra Magic Hour feels so adventurous and, well, magical, that it does make sense how it could beat something like Tank in the previous round. MYTH & ROID's JINGO JUNGLE feels like one of their weaker songs to me tbh. If it were one of their better ones, my vote would have a good chance of changing.

One thing I like to consider when comparing music is how long I can listen to each song on repeat without getting tired of it. I could probably watch/listen to colors 50x more than Ready to without getting bored. That's just how S tier Colors is in my mind.
