Those are almost certainly slugs - they've shown up in the story before, and leeches don't have eye stalks like that, at least any species I've ever come across.

In went looking, and according to the several sites I found, Japan sees slugs as both harbingers of rain and connected to rain gods, as well as symbols of patience and perseverance, and adaptability.
As best I can figure--they're an indication of Moe actively attempting to suss out what Akemi's goals and motives are, and change and adapt to this new set of circumstances where Akemi is managing to actually take Gotou away.
Given the previous set of chapters introducing her half-brother and his whole talk about "figuring out the rules of the game in order to win", I see this as Moe confronting Akemi in a symbolic sense, as the "slugs" leave Moe's body and invade Akemi's...representing Moe slowing down to actually sort out Akemi's motive, and calming herself to act more methodically and deliberately once she understands how to "win".

And given she goes from having a near-panic attack with Gotou to smiling at Akemi and declaring she'll move out, it would seem she's figured out that patience is the way forward, which would fit that symbolism that I found.

That, and slugs are...well, "generally" considered vile and banal by many people. Slimy, grotesque looking, which would all fit the mood and tone of this series, at least on some level. So using them visually like this further enhances that sense of discomfort and unease based on peoples' predilictions of the animal and how they're incorporated into this manga's visuals.

I actually like her using her (secretly) half-brother here.

Gotou's whole deal where Moe is concerned is keeping her "pure". Not necessarily in the creepy 'attracted to my daughter' sense, but in terms of how fucked up the family is. Akemi is ....we all know. But Ken was made to wear long-sleeved shirts all the time so his burns weren't visible to Moe when she was a child. Gotou has gone to considerable lengths to retain a sense of "normalcy" for the sake of Moe, in his mind, so their family feels like the sort of place he envisions her, at least, having a happy upbringing.

So her suddenly having a boyfriend that Gotou knew nothing about would be a shock to him. What's more, she's moving in with this person, out of the blue, away from Gotou's supervision.
It's a neat ploy on Moe's part, if she's gunning for jealousy on his part. I can't imagine he won't be concerned and alarmed by this, though he'll almost certainly relent with minimal pushback now that Akemi has blessed this decision and she has Gotou by the balls again.

I quite liked the collage of Moe's memories taking up the page after Gotou says "let's forget everything that happened and start over as a family again". He meant it one way, sure, but it highlights how disconnected he is from the other three people in his house; that the one person who would most have Gotou's interests and well-being in mind--even if she has very ulterior motives in doing so--is also the one most hurt by this sacrificial behavior on Gotou's part in the name of "keeping the peace".

I just wanna know if her half-brother will also get all incest-coded with her, or if he's just gonna be generally siscon-focused, pushing all his own desires for "happy family" onto his younger sister like this.

I do not think their newfound relationship will end happily, but I do hope it will be interesting.
