I don't blame her to a certain degree..... She was basically a teen wife + mom before she could finish high school. However, she could have left him once she realized she didn't love him anymore and it was all just a teenage crush.

I know he was also financially dependent on her. And he obviously believes in "taking responsibility", and likely he just rolled over and suffered in silence under her for the sake of appearances and some semblance of stability for the children.

After all, while he didn't know about the full extent of her adultery, he knew about her drug use and general ...instability. But everything about Goto feels like he would just submit to Akemi so he could be there for Ken and Moe (and for the money to support them).

I guess with his preoccupation toward Moe now coming to the fore, he's decided "enough is enough".
