Sorry couldn't read this, was too busy with my SUPER FAST PACED AND BUSY LIFESTYLE THAT ONLY HAS TIME TO READ MANGA, THEN GO TO THE FORUMS, THEN COMMENT, THEN COMPLAIN I AIN'T GOT TIME TO READ YOUR RESPONSES THAT ARE 3-4 LINES.Most people work 8-5 and then one hour to get home at least an hour later, with mangadex blocked on the work pc and reading manga on a phone is absolute shit, you don't have time to read big paragraph comments, there are like 10 manga updated by the time you get home with 3 new pages of comments each and you have to read all of them before/after taking a bath and dinner or else you feel like you missed something someone pointed out then go to sleep early to go work again the next day.
Basically, it's not a zoomer thing, it's a you barely have free time in weekdays thing.
most people break up when their partner if found cheating, i don’t thonk you understand how cheating works, if you mean way the cheater didn’t break of insted of cheating? If breaking up was that easy for everyone there wouldn't be any cheating in the world.
That and author spesificly said she wanted to draw a cheating story from start to finish (and also said editor reined her in at the begining but not anymore) so there won't be a break up any time soon no matter how retarded Nanase's reactions and refusal to break up gets. Because it wouldnt be cheating otherwise.imagine if they were all somehow together 30 years in the future, endlessly torturing each other
wasn't there some 'bonus' author note that said that she was purposefully written to be unlikable? lol
Nanase is a plot device. Without her, this wouldn't be a cheating story so her actions are determined by that requirement alone. She can see Yumi getting gangbanged infront of her eyes (which is a fair possiblity tbh) and would still refuse to break up. If she did, that would make the premise pointless no matter how stupid it is to try to maintain the status quo at that point.Nanase she's not perfect at all considering that she's oblivious, insensitive, ignorant & indifferent of people's feelings.
You are absolutely right, but, I don't think this is a hot take. It's well thought out.I'll do the hot take since I haven't commented in a while. I think what Yuni is doing is something 'normal'. Of course, cheating is bad, stringing along Natsume is bad and she should just end things. That's not normal and is bad. The 'normal' I mean is: we saw Yuni was unhappy with Natsume, Fuuko was able to fill her void, and so now she's fallen out of love with Natsume. That's the 'normal' I mean: to leave an unhappy situation. The only real scummy part is the cheating, so yeah, she should just end it.
At this point, beyond the blatant cheating, I think the bigger issue now is the unusual relationship between Fuuko and Yuni. They're not lovers. It's fair to say Yuni really does hate Fuuko. Before, Fuuko was upset that she wasn't Yuni's #1, but now she's fine being #2 since she sees herself as Yuni's "mom". So, Fuuko probably isn't looking to be GF, but just wants to always be at Yuni's side. Ironically, this is exactly what Yuni wants: someone who will always put her first, is open with their feelings, and will never leave her. Maybe not her "GF" exactly, but a close partner. I guess the big question now is, if Yuni wants Fuuko to be GF in near-future, would Fuuko actually accept that? Since she's fulfilled by being 'mama'.
Obligatory paragraph for Natsume. Yeah yeah, she's the victim in almost all the scenarios. It is a bit difficult to feel sympathy though. It's clearer now what Yuni wants, what Fuuko wants, but we don't know much what Natsume wants exactly. Does she just wanna focus on sports? Does she actually want a GF? Why get one if she wasn't going to pay attention to her/afraid of the attention (regardless of her past)? Or... is she just looking for an ardent fan that will always support her? Because if so, club friend Yuki fulfills that just fine. IMO, she doesn't seem all too shaken up by Yuni's cheating. I hope more chapters focus on Natsume, because there isn't much to over-analyze on her xD. Through no fault of hers, 'too little too late' is apt here. It took cheating for her to realize "darn, should give more attention to my gf" since there was no indication that she saw issues with her past behavior. Lesson for the next time I suppose. Like, even if she forgives Yuni again and gives up EVERYTHING for their relationship, I don't think there's any recovering it. Yuni is GONE.
Plot twist, she breaks up with the sports girl, dates the mommy complex girl and cheats on HER with another new girl lol (but I imagine they wouldn’t introduce a new charas this point)That and author spesificly said she wanted to draw a cheating story from start to finish (and also said editor reined her in at the begining but not anymore) so there won't be a break up any time soon no matter how retarded Nanase's reactions and refusal to break up gets. Nooo it’s too much fun(drama) this way. XDMan... Just break up with her already.
I think seriously neglected is a bit of an overstatement and Yuni's also at fault for not even voicing her own feelings. I do agree that Natsume has a very interesting need to keep the status quo and I hope the future chapters dive into this. I don't think Natsume is blameless in this relationship but considering age, and the fact it seems Yuni will not communicate, ever, and instead victimizes herself based on what we've seen im just waiting for the relationship to implode. Idk what to make of the Mama stuff going on with the instigator girl. She seems to be a nutcase and I don't really feel qualified to even analyze that lol.You are absolutely right, but, I don't think this is a hot take. It's well thought out.
Unfortunately, I would agree that this chapter was "too little, too late". Just looking at the story as we know it, the sports festival is happening 7 months after Natsume and Yuni started dating, around 1 1/2 - 2 months into Fuuko stealing Yuni, and a couple of weeks (at most) after Natsume's declaration "I want to keep dating Yuni and playing volleyball. I promise to start paying attention to you more, Yuni." (ch. 20, pgs 13 - 20). Heck, we even see that Natsume is trying (ch. 21), but, again, it's too little too late since Yuni still has to wait on the stairs while Natsume is at volleyball, hidden away and not able to be open with their relationship.
That is all Yuni has wanted this entire series. To be in an open, honest relationship with Natsume - especially after Yuni told Natsume at the fireworks festival that Natsume shouldn't look down on Yuni and assume that she's as weak as Natsume's junior high school crush.
I would push back and say, "No fault of hers" is an incorrect way of thinking when we look at Natsume. The story began several months into Natsume/Yuni's relationship with Yuni being seriously neglected by Natsume, and I think Natsume really needs to work hard at being attentive to Yuni's wants and needs because Yuni has been seriously hurt by Natsume's total focus on volleyball and keeping her relationship secret.
I think Fuuko will accept being Yuni's lover. She only inserted herself as the maternal figure because that's a position that Yuni cannot argue with. An Onee-san you can bicker and go against but a mother is harder to fight. This is not some maternal kink. Fuuko picking the role of mother is intentional, purposeful. A mother can assert herself in her child's life. A sister can become a mother, form her own life separate from their sibling but a mother is supposed to be there for her child no matter what. I can't wait to see how Fuuko will retaliate.I'll do the hot take since I haven't commented in a while. I think what Yuni is doing is something 'normal'. 'Get my girl fuuko out of this mess'Yuni’s still a whiny bitch, Nanase’s backbone is as nonexistent as ever, and the cycle just keeps repeating. Get my girl Fuuko out of this mess lmao
Just to sufferWhy are we still here?
