It did sorta seem a little rushed. I know it's more rare for manhua publishers to rush the creators to the finish line (at least, compared to the lumberjacks in Japan), but it does sorta seem like a little bit of "uh oh, 5 chapters left, gotta tie up the loose ends".

Its fine cause it's still cute and cute gay stuff is jam, but I did still notice it. Also if they kept that wierd soft bdsm dynamic they had that would be cool, just saying.

Well lemme try to break it down as it seems through those words she yearns for more of an equal than true love as one doesn't need romantic connection to have someone to communicate to on an equal level although there's already something wrong with that as green hair was established to be smarter than than downbad disease not to mention her personality doesn't quite offer an open space to be seen as equals given she kinda hates geniuses, from what we've seen shes attracted to her intelligence that much is clear but I don't see how her aggressive attempts to woo her make her at all wanting an equal though maybe I'm remembering wrong
Even then her infacuation comes specifically from intelligence well it devolped into genuine care or not, most of what she cares about IS her talent, given her talent implies them equal enough in the first place

She was definitely written as aroace and quite bluntly too, like there was no room for vagueness, this whole development is super icky
