Rakuda (らくだ) was not actually named as such. His real name was Uma Unosuke (馬 卯之助) with Uma (馬) meaning "horse". His nickname Rakuda means "camel", because much like the camels that were brought to Japan during the Bunsei era, Uma Unosuke was a large, hulking spectacle to the townspeople.

This was a really good chapter, sweet too, i feel the story is finally getting steam and Master is just so fucking cool and much as Tanuki is so fucking cute.

Really interesting that her tanuki power of drumming was played here.

By what Master said she may have more than 100 years, no? So going by how kitsune power grows with age she is powerful but still low on the so-called power scale, see still a master of tricks tough.
