the finger to the right of the missing finger, is more like a pinky than a thumb, the nail is narrow and is fully shown. If it was a thumb, the nail would be somewhat obscured, as its positioned differently than the other fingers. The webbing is also too small compared to the webbing between the index and thumb.

So yeah, take a look at your hand, then look at her hand again. She's not a new character.
