his job is a therapist.
If I had to wager a guess, he works with mostly lost causes so he sees a lot of shit that would just cause people to lose faith in humanity.
Ah, thanks!
I've also checked the author's twitter, saw the bonus picture showing him doing consultation.

I would say that he's a different type of undead. Liches survive through their phylacteries, this man is being fueled by anger alone.
Litches choose undeath as a way to extend their life, the phylactery is an insurance policy, but regular undead skeletons are animated through magic or concentrated feelings.

He's an Earthbound spirit. He needs fresh hatred and grudges or else he crosses over into the afterlife. Kind of funny when you realise his wife is an exorcist.

so is no one going to mention the implication that he loves his wife so much that she is basically purifying his resentments and hatred towards humans, therefore almost causing him to pass on? That's cute as fuck, the epitome of love heals all wounds

I guess he's akin to a ghost who is only around cause he has unfinished business, or resentfulness and can't pass on.
Since he doesn't want to pass on yet due to his wife, he maintains his anger and hatred, by working as a therapist, probably with extremely fucked up cases, or victims, so their stories fuel his stay.
