Yup, the author has been mostly been consistent that this is a happy manga for the MC (besides the crazy ex-GF but even then the MC was ignorant on what was happening), but the author does a good job at making the plot unpredictable and having good transitions between the chapters

I feels the author needs a few sincere downs instead of all twists. When something bad looks like it might happen I roll my eyes instead of genuinely think it's gonna happen now.

I don't mean constant downward spiral or an emotional roller coaster up and down but something should stick for once.
