The silhouettes of the people from the Mystel family reminded me of the Millennium Earl from D. Gray Man, and they seem to be just as awful as that thought made me assume.

It ruined a very good touching reunion that could be happened (and good), but instead we got this shit.

The story is a bit different from the novel, in the novel she is fully gone loco for the phantom mirage and she fully sees it like the real Towa, her brain is fried.
The setup is different too, in the novel Lilith is a succubus that costantly exudes a aura that attracts others, Towa was immunte to it for his miracle power acting as a barrier, so she fell in love with who seen her without filters, Towa did like her, making clear that even without her passive aura she was stilla beauty.
And reincarnated Towa doesn't have that buff, so when he encountered her for the first time in the city he got too close and fell for it, she was deranged and almost kidnapped him on the street.

Then she returned late at night and kidnapped him, as the bright of engage is connected to the soul so she could feel it was a MC, but for reincarnation not existing in this isekai even just the concept is ignored and she couldn't make the connection.
MC tries to tell her who he is but feels like he absolutely shouldn't, when he tries to overcome that feeling and almost does it she start to feel sick and bleed, turns out that is a taboo so big that if MC did tell someone he was Towa reincarnated that person would die/dissapear from the world on the spot.
He learns of it from himself (more or less), on the moment of death his skill evolved and became conscious, so it miracled his party last wishes, for the elf and succubus to still have him around, is just a illusion but doesn't make them go fully insane like they would have after his death, his reincarnation was the humans wish.
MC can't tell them who he is in any way, but if they realize it on their own is ok, he simply can never confirm it, for the thought pattern of the isekai even the bright of engage is not enough for them to istantly accept it.

Would be too easy if he could speak out, the author had to come up with something to keep the stakes up, and most importantly, it gives MC a absolute weapon

when he thinks about the penalty he have a thought about proclaiming himself as Towa to his previous life family, of course, seeing this author it wouldn't surprise me if MC does it but it doesn't work because the other party have to believe that is him, I'll continue the novel one of this day
