I am all for childhood friends and getting even with brats, but FFS he has infinitely better chemistry with Prez than dumbdumb Asahi.
Asahi also would be better served finding someone who actually treats her well, and whom she isn't crushing on simply because he was sometimes kind to her over the span of time they'd known one another since childhood.
Neither of them really gel. Sadly Asahi is awkward and prickly and Kageyama is the only one who she can
really call a "friend", even if she's friend
ly with the others in the Club & with Prez. So she gravitates toward him, while being unable to be honest (because tsundere archetype). But he's not really kind to her...he's just honest(if not
blunt) with her. And we saw in chapter 20 how that isn't always a good thing.
And now we have 6 chapters to not only effectively get from 'the starting line' where Kageyama is concerned, but to
undo the damage from what they did to one another previous chapter. ...And I'm not really convinced it can be done well, to the point I wonder if 28 chapters is a "forced ending point" by the editor/publisher or something.
