I realise I'm asking this rather late.
But what is the context behind the "make her understand" phrase?
Because when I first saw this manga, I didn't think much about it and thought it was just one of those weird phrases moonspeakers have.
But apparently it's a loaded stock phrase?

"Wakaraseru" ("to make someone understand") has become used in internet/anime/manga slang for when a haughty character needs to be 'put in their place' (or in a mesugaki's case, 'corrected').

I honestly don't think this series is strong enough in any way to be released officially in English.. but hey, good for the mangaka. You guys have done a great job with the series and I always read your releases over other groups.

as the other person responded, thats what it means literally, but it's used a lot in NTR/non-con eromanga and seeing as the author's primary work before this and the general NTR elements in this manga itself until recently when the author stated he just wanted them to have a good ending and be sweet.... well yeah! Thats where the whole context is

I think this rehabilitation summer camp will force Tanuki to accept that Komaru is changing on her own.

Yup, he's still struggling to comprehend that his "perverseness" is directly linked to his obsession and possessiveness of Komaru so being forced out of his comfort zone and only able to watch as she lives her life will hopefully get him to mellow out and show him that she's capable of handling things on her own.

Even in this chapter we see a pretty overt juxtaposition of Tanuki wallowing in doubt and negativity while Komaru is literally right in front of him happily chatting it up with Nakata which is something we haven't seen from her in this entire series thus far. She actually has a friend that is completely disconnected from Tanuki's orbit and she's happier for it.

Once Tanuki sees that she doesn't need to depend on him and he can actually depend on her he'll hopefully start to be a bit more honest about what his real feelings towards her are as Takenaka heavily hinted at in earlier chapters. Nakata has already broached that topic with Komaru so the natural progression is to have Tanuki come to his own realization now.

We literally had a chapter talking about this (chapter 52)

Yes... The official English translation will be released in September, and well, it was a good run.
The magazine that publish this manga in japan is Tonary no Jump, which is owned by Shueisha... are you telling me that this will be published on MangaPlus?

Beacause if this is the case, then i'm worried that...

a) the comments from people who use that app could discover the ntr hentai version and try to backlash the author again or start some dumb polemic (even though that version and this one are not related at all, since the first one is entirely based on her fetish, and the only similarity is the fact that Egaki recicled some panels/ideas, cause she didn't want to draw/come up with new ones and because she took at the beginning of the story the easy way out)

b) part of the manga will be censored or "modified to suit western taste" (which is pretty much the same as censoring) and i've already seen that happening because of VIZ (that usually translate this stuff) and due to the idiotic american mainstream fanbase

this honor rule to drop a series when it gets an official TL makes no sense to me. Never did.

It's no more an honor rule: if a publisher contacts mangadex nowadays and says "we gave you an official tl, now you can't post fan translations anymore", then you can't post fan translations anymore. The only reason why some fan translations still exist on this site while there is also an official english translation is due to the fact that the publisher didn't contact mangadex (and if this one will be uploaded on mangaplus then you can be sure that they will contact mangadex)
