They've held hands in the precious chapter and this chapter starts with the MC stating we don't even hold hands due to my phobia. I get that FMC is supposedly a loslose girl but understand having a romantic love for the first time might cause some attitude changes. MC manning up to touch her is also change but since he loves her makes some sense just feels rushed a bit.

Fmc is not just a fictional character, she is a fucking joke, a bunch of stereotypes fused together into cringe, parody character. Whore who slept with everything that moves now acts like an elementary school kid, and don't bs me with "emotional connection" bs. Fmc is supposed to be dirty but at least be confident in physical stuff, so the author made her dirty for no reason, now she acts like a virgin who blushes from a f*cking handshake... What a bs.

The implication of hand-holding without sex is different than the implication of sex without hand-holding.

It's called "character development".

I don't get it-- anime/manga consumers will readily go "muh character development" whether or not character development is germane to the intentions of the work and its themes, but here we're getting colored-by-the-numbers character development that's expressed with the bluntness of a Sesame Street episode, and we're still having people going "but the first chapter" without even acknowledging that the heroine's entire objective was "having a 'normal love'".

On the seventh chapter.

People who've had sex, and even copious amounts of it in whorish fashion, aren't confined to one manner of sexual or general social expression just because of that past-- even before you get to the rest of their persons. I'd understand the reactions better if she never changed at all, but the impressions I'm criticizing are largely stuck in the introduction of the first chapter.

I kinda find it refreshing honestly to have a character in a manga who responds to the whole "I want to respect your feelings by not even leaning towards to you" schtick with "If you want to respect my feelings then I wanna fucking have sex already". Romance manga love to put the concept of physical intimacy and sex in particular on this holy pedestal that requires copious amounts of ceremony and rigmarole to approach (unless it's hentai), but like, sometimes it can actually just be a good way to express love and affection.
