So I'd guess this covers the first out of two light novel volumes.

It looks like the author simply lost interest and moved on. looking at their author page, they start a new project every few months.

I'm going to guess that after a point, trying to work out new spells for the girls became exhausting - or they exhausted their ideas.

The drawback of basically making your MC Catgirl Deadpool.
