This manga is on another level and it was like exposing the dark side of the world, especially Japan.
I want to continue reading it because I already started, and I found it interesting how they will end up. Please don't break my heart because I already felt numb throughout the chapters. I wish Nezumi-chan a happy ending!!
How can I translate the page into English?
I am so incredibly angry. Incredibly, incredibly angry. Bringing back Ao-kun and using Peter as a decoy just feels wrong. It feels as if there is missed potential that could've been made.
Peter was coded in black only because he needed to be used as Ao's get-out card. It's not like he even got that much development or screentime or anything, it just feels so sudden and unsatisfactory. Not only do I not like because they just disposed of a character like that, but also because it just feels like bullshit.
I was fully expecting this to be something like Nezumi working on herself to be able to move on from all her trauma and finding something new, or maybe to continue living on for his sake even if he was already gone. Bringing back Ao-kun like this just... doesn't feel good. I liked him as way better before he came back. His return just doesn't feel right at all.
Side note, but the whole sequence of events doesn't even make sense to begin with. She LEAPED her ass off and you're telling me no one noticed? How the hell were thy not being heard for all that time? Even if Butama was on fire it's not like they should all go deaf in that moment or something.
Everything to me was really good BEFORE Ao-kun suddenly returned from the dead. After he returned, I really couldn't look at it the same way anymore. It felt really cheap, unnatural, and doesn't really feel like it fits when the whole theme of this manga is about death and acceptance.
I wish he never came back.

I agree that peter wasn't as fleshed out as I would like but the whole manga is about nezumi and her love for ao-kun, permanently killing him off would make the whole story kind of pointless in my opinion.
At this point of the story, nezumi had no will to fight and was bound and sedated, Hisoku is keeping her alive so that butama can recover his memories and find what they're looking for, then they'd probably kill him off and nezumi too, there was no way she could've moved on and even if she found her drive to kill, the plan to make her a mindless killing machine would succeed and she would have no way she would "move on from all her trauma".
Hisoku used butama to try and get rid of nezumi's drive to kill, its why he kept on emphasizing that she was the who "killed" ao-kun but he didn't take into account that peter would have his own motivation. Hisoku likely didn't know peter was in love with nezumi and would do anything for her. In a way, he underestimated peter, thinking he was just a little pawn he could use. Because of that, he didn't anticipate peter sacrificing himself to save ao-kun and fake his death, this allowed ao-kun to sneak into the boat acting as peter and then save nezumi.
Personally I'm happy he's alive, building up this romance throughout the story only for him to die midway would be kind of shitty. Yeah maybe it would be more realistic since life isn't straightforward but this is a story, a story about love, a love story so making sure that love story continues is the main priority. I hope they can find happiness at the end of the story.

Can I get some clarifications?
So the ML's sister is supposedly killed by the FL. The brain-washer is/was married to her. Is the idea that the person who discovers the body the brain-washer? But his objective, and that of the ML's initially, was to make her into the perfect killing machine. So that doesn't seem to line up. So that death memory is made up or misrepresented?
The ML then works with the brain-washer to help brain-wash the FL by getting her to fall in love with the ML so they can draw the love out and kill it. In the process, the ML seemingly falls in love with the FL and betrays the plan. The plan that called for him to ultimately be killed by her. Or was the plan just to break up with her and/or expose the murder of the sister? But the sister's death isn't real?
As an awkward aside, a stretched out condom is conspicuously shown several times, but the attack happened before anything. I would think that this is suggesting an ending where she never loses her virginity, perhaps because her first, and last, love, the ML, dies. A vow of celibacy following. Or is the idea supposed to be that it just fell off? I'll admit to not knowing how a male's anatomy works under such circumstances.
