I'm wondering if Japan is the worst country on the planet to grow up in? What with conformity, lack of individuality, social shame and so on. I know WN/LN/Manga/Anime is not true to life, but real life must be the source material, and even if only part of it is true, it must be bad. Especially when you look at young persons suicides and that forest at the base of Mount Fuji.

From what i have heard its really not that good of a place to live.
lots of homeless kids.
people working long hours to the point that they are having a population crisis.
They also have a problem with people being out of the norm.
are just some things i have heard coming from people actually living there.

Why do Mangakas/Manga host sites always do the bullshit of splitting chapters into parts? Its such ass for the viewer to have to wait to complete a chapter. I feel like alot of people would prefer to just wait some more for a full chapter release then get half a chapter.
It's probably done that way weekly so the mangaka can have more time to draw from half a more healthy work-life balance. Rather than what used to be them dropping dead or seriously ill which still happens

I heard they even laws and stuff in place to try and help population issue but it's not helping much maybe its tackle the root issues of which there could be many. Money/job/security/availability/living conditions etc.

You can get a lot of documentaries they talk about stuff like women wanting more from men, men being anxious and feeling pressure to succeed. A lot are living in those net cafe/manga box rooms go to and from work. There's a lot of unhealthy work habits to such as unpaid overtime and don't leave work until after your boss leaves. So if u finish 5pm Ur boss stays till 7 your expectations to stay and not get paid. There's also those who live at their job going to sleep there, not just the overworked animators

One of the core issues is for as far as i can tell. just working hours and societal pressure around it.
If you are gone from home for 12-14 hours daily almost every day. you would have no time for a family nor the energy to really want to find one.
This is also why idol culture is so toxic there too now that i think about it. as in people flipping their lids over their when their favorite idol gets a boyfriend/girlfriend. For many its possibly there only kinda relationship they have outside of work and they feel NTR'd by it.

I work by myself, for free. Scanning 15 pages is infinitely less daunting and demoralizing than scanning 30-40. If you don't like it, wait until the full chapter is out (if I even continue, this is just one hobby among several).

also they do it because it allows them more time to work ahead, avoiding hiatuses, and gives better work life balance + health to the mangaka
You break § 3.2.2. : « Chapters may only be split into parts if the source material was also split in the same way. Chapters that have been split up by the translators for any other reason may be recombined into singular whole chapters. » , of the Web‑site , I ‘ꜹe Hence‑fore reported It — please , do fix It by Re‑moving This chapter until You finish translation. I also work by My‑self and what You did is outrageous.

You might want to check the raw source that clearly shows that the source material itself is split. So what they did is not against the rules.

I acted on Their words , ‘tisn’t My responsibility Double‑check Their Own words — the wꜽ They wrote implied that They are the one who is splitting and the readers are the one who shall wait until They release All chapters , in accordance with civility ; pardon My Mis-take alas I will not be Re‑placing My reaction. Thank You for Your consideration to correct Mine In‑correct information.

I was friends with a girl that had that done to her before I even met her. Her friends pushed her to date someone she didn't like, they went out for a while and when he made a move to kiss her she got traumatized by the event. Broke up with him and got a phobia of men for a few years.

Last I heard of her was when she was in college, had found a guy she liked and was dating him normally.

Unfortunately there are indeed people that treat others' lives like a character to control. Her so-called friends didn't think about how she felt, they only cared that they had someone in the group dating.

It's not good but there are much worse, especially if you're a woman.
