Melt Epee? Translation mistake or author being lazy, or just running my imagination, when she was born someone out there was shouting yippeee and named her Epee.

Epee is a sword, but what really gets me is the tendency to name people "Malty" or "Melty"  or "Piña Colada"

Nobody names any characters
"Sushi," or "Aji, Or "Umami" for some reason, so...

Might as well name them "Slimy" or something  like: "Slimy Dagger," or "Hiball Backsword"  or "Chalk-Tasting Katana" and be done with it...

Or Jojo, in which Araki just browses through his vinyl collection.

Or One Piece, where there are so many references to naval stuff, if not getting named Orangutan.
