WN Explanation assuming the manga doesn't outline the plan in the next chapter

The Girl that volunteered is a Paladin/Knight from Crist. The plan is to use soldiers as bait to bring the "Ignis" user to the battle field. Then once exposed the Paladin/Knight will begin a 1v1 to pin the "Ignis" user down.

The Male hero will then use a "Holy Strike" skill to one-shot the the "Ignis" user.

It's not just "two people".

It's a whole trap involving hundreds of people.
and what's going to happen after that ? is he gonna lose?

It would be odd if walm and the isekai kids realized they were both from earth in the middle of a war.
which will be harder because walm was reincarnated while the heroes were transported

Highserk war is keeping good momentum, with each chapter you feel something progressing in the story or showing something about the characters.
I hope shonen magazine edge ending it's publication don't put this manga in any risk of beign cancelled; I think magazine pocket should be a good fit to continue it's serialization.

War...has changed
It's no longer about kingdoms, creeds, or bloodlines. It's an unending series of warmongering conflicts, waged by mercenaries and mages. War, and its consumption of life, has become a well oiled machine. War has changed. Migrated soldiers carry cheat weapons, use cursed armor. Isekai powers inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control, information control, emotion control...battlefield control. Everything is monitored and kept under control. War... has changed. The age of deterrance has become the age of domination, all in the name of averting catastrophe from invading enemies. And he who controls the battlefield... controls history. War... has... changed. When the battlefield is controlled by God (the writer), war... becomes routine.

Yeah and how does that give them the power to just walk into an enemy camp? Are they fireproof? sure hope so
I highly doubt highserk is gonna risk losing walm any time soon with how invaluable he has been till now.
I mean, we are told that they got the standard isekai power pack.

Does MC ever get a promotion or his own squad? Its kind of weird for mc to be a pivital figure in a war yet hold such a low position. They didnt mention ranks but judging he is a peon in a 6 man group that is part of a battelian he doesnt even hold a low officer rank. Is hiserk not afraid the enemy will bribe him with 1000x more benefits?

Such a good chapter man. First the opening of the full fledge battle. Second is Walm wiping out whole platoons in an ietnstant. Third is showing the horrors of war and the war crimes Walm's Ignis Fatuus does. And finally the upcoming showdown of reincarnate vs otherworlders.

wow are those chicken nuggets with a backstory
Jokes aside I dont understand this trope
When enemies have a strong weapon you dont order TWO people to get rid of it
If telling people to solve an issue was that easy you wouldnt have had the issue in the first place
That is unless these two are just crazy magical assassins that can just go wherever they please I guess
Those two are the heroes though. They're marginally stronger than any other soldier they have. Go back a few chapters, they killed a dragon

Are we reading the same thing? The fire he has is tailored to killing people in masses. It spreads from body to body and the corpses become his defense. They need to go for assassination here to both minimize further loss and be sure they succeed

They didn’t know the face of their target.

Having random people suddenly popping up asking where or who the fire user in middle of war is raising lot of suspicion unless you already have a spy inside the army.

Best way is faking a push, baiting the fire user and attack them.
