Remille's escape so far seems to echo more the "Flight to Varennes" of Louis XVI than anything romantic. While the history of a republic is clearly aping the Roman Empire, the rest of it is giving a more French Revolution feeling to me.
Iirc, the Summon America version is that after the Parpaldian realized there are no other military tactics that could slightly weigh in their favor, Remille become one of the voices that agree in Ludius's decision to sue peace.
Because unlike the original, Remille realize their threat very early, mainly because the USA did the Gunboat diplomacy on Parpaldia.
