if this The Briish, what are The Mu country again?
edit : just remember that those are "supposedly lost continent of Earth", the Mu people is an Earthlings and can't use magic, so they independently reach WW1 tech by their own in this new world

It will still be one-sided slaughter.

That battleship cannot hold a hand to modern cruiser that can snipe it from much greater range with cruise missile.

In terms of infantry and tanks... JSDF as small as it is an elite force and can easily overwhelm WW2 era infantry and armor.

Air force... No contest. Even if they have Me-262 like tech they must go agaisnt modern jets which is suicide.

And I imagine that Japan in that world would work with other Kingdoms and adopt the use of magic for ease of convenience (healing for example) and that will only give them even more of an edge.
Yeah in terms of armor ww2 britain's tanks aren't that good before they made the Centurion. Its either heavily armored and slow, or lightly armored and fast, in terms of armaments its not looking good aswell

It here!! The most powerful enemy yet in LN and WN. (Cuz it cases to exits after that //sad)
It's a stalemate for now. Both sides can't retaliate, tho Gra Valkas is now expelled from the 2nd Civilization Area. The Gra Valkans are gonna sue for peace, but I bet someone from their side will sabotage the peace talks, and most of Japan's allies wants blood

So yeah...
Thanks for the share, I read the chapter. And yeah, just as I imagined this will go.

And the Japanese didn't even used airforce or submarines and they wrecked their fleet.

Only thing they lack is nukes to really dominate that world. Unless there is someone there with more advanced tech than it is our current this will not be much of a fight. I know someone has been hinted but we are yet to see them from what I have gathered.

I assume they mean the source ends at that point in the story, last light novel volume, volume 6, as well as the two-volume spin-off, were published in 2020, leaving the story so far unfinished. No idea if it will continue, after all this time?

Japan doesn't have TASMs, only anti-ship missiles, and those wouldn't be enough to pen the armor of the ship.
It will be sunk by one of the subs most likely there is no ship in the world that can withstand a modern keel breaking torpedo.
Also Japan has DDGs, not CGs.
The JASDF will likely run into munition issues very soon.

That still does not mean that they are fighting in equal terms. WW2 era tech cannot get even close to the modern one.

As for the ammo, I don't see why they would not develop their own? It's not like they cannot do it in a few year to a decade, they already have US personnel and scientists working in Japan today that can assist them in getting their own domesticated development. And giving the entire country isekai situation I don't see why would they not want to assist them?

They can even use their newly acquired allies to get all the cheap resources they have, while their own country specialize in high-tech development. While they slowly bring their allies to our own world level in both tech and social norms.

In short, Japan in this story is like post 1991 US. Only they were smart enough to gain the initiative and shape the world as they see it fit while there is nobody powerful enough to resist them.

I wonder what it would be like if a civilization with a sci-fi tech level happened to be isekai’d into this world. Who am I kidding? No way the author will do that, since they would mog the Japanese with higher tech, so ain’t no way that’ll happen lol

They shouldn't really run out of munitions that quickly, as they manufacture almost everything for their military domestically, and maintain spare manufacturing capacity for things like munitions. They just need raw materials, with the biggest issues being some rare earths, but by the time of this story they had a sizable stockpile of those(as has been the japanese policy after a dispute with china around 2010). Also those rare earth aren't as much of a munitions issue as they are an issue for manufacturing the rest of the defense industry.

This is also a situation where they don't really have trade partners for their industry, so a lot of materials they would be using to manufacture goods for exports won't be. So their rare earth stockpiles would last a lot longer and could be almost entirely allocated to their defense industry.
