modern warships vs medieval ones, the gap in power is just crazy huge. you can literally see it, even just the shockwave from a bomb hitting the water is enough to sink those ships instantly. and yeah, it’s kinda dumb seeing those old medival cannons trying to hit a modern ship :haa:

All I can see in this chapter are dead men (both sides)
Both sides were stupid: Gra Valkas finding a casus belli by sending a member of the Imperial family for 'diplomacy', and Paganda for executing that family member because they tried to extort the Gra Valkans.

All those people in the bridge of the Grade Atlastar shown in this chapter, along with others that is not yet shown but mentioned in the WN, are now dead, blown up by Japanese SSMs during the Great Naval Invasion of Japan.

Not medieval, but early industrial.

wikipedia.ico
Paddle steamer / Paddle-driven steam warships

"Beginning in the 1820s, the British Royal Navy began building paddle-driven steam frigates and steam sloops. By 1850 these had become obsolete due to the development of the propeller – which was more efficient and less vulnerable to cannon fire or ramming."

"paddle warships were used extensively by the Russian Navy during the Crimean War of 1853–1856, and by the United States Navy during the Mexican War of 1846–1848 and the American Civil War of 1861–1865."

"the last remaining paddle frigates were decommissioned and sold into merchant-navy service by the 1870s."

Ohh wow, the world war 2 tech era? this is going to be more interesting
It will still be one-sided slaughter.

That battleship cannot hold a hand to modern cruiser that can snipe it from much greater range with cruise missile.

In terms of infantry and tanks... JSDF as small as it is an elite force and can easily overwhelm WW2 era infantry and armor.

Air force... No contest. Even if they have Me-262 like tech they must go agaisnt modern jets which is suicide.

And I imagine that Japan in that world would work with other Kingdoms and adopt the use of magic for ease of convenience (healing for example) and that will only give them even more of an edge.
