These plot threads never make sense, sure he made them stronger but they were also leveling up so it's not like they reverted back to lvl1..... At least now we get an explanation as to why an "S-rank" party completely falls apart after the bag carrier leaves. I've seen a lot of these where at the very least the guy getting kicked out had several support skills or something. Made no sense that "can carry a lot of stuff" was the sole difference in what made them strong.
