I can see him loosing his shit if anything happen to the girls! He could start doubting his decisions, blaming himself! Even if it's not his fault since no-one can be in multiple locations at the same time! Imo, the doubting is amplified by the "Abyss" making him spiral into madness!
We(he) got his revenge, so what now? Instead of some new generic villain I would prefer if he's the one slowly, turning into one!
